Have you been wanting to learn Mahjong? Now's your chance! Join Coach Ali and Coach Jenny from Modern Mahj Michigan for a fun, beginner-friendly two-week Mahjong 101 series designed for players brand new to the game. By the end of the series, you'll have the confidence and knowledge to start playing on your own. Week One focuses on learning the fundamentals of American Mahjong - including understanding the tiles, the NMJL card, the Charleston, gameplay, and etiquette. Week Two starts with a quick refresher before moving into guided beginner play where you'll practice gameplay with support and coaching along the way. Let's Mahj On!!!
Additional Notes
Sign-up includes both class sessions, and participants are expected to attend both dates. All Mahjong materials will be provided, including tiles, racks, mats, and NMJL cards. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice before either sessions will be charged the full class amount.
