The Mahjong Hostess Society teaches women how to confidently play Mahjong in a fun, welcoming, and beginner-friendly environment. Through guided instruction, hands-on play, and small-group classes, we make learning Mahjong approachable, social, and enjoyable — helping women build confidence around the table one game at a time.

Teaching for 1.5 years

Rate: $75 per class

I am a certified teacher blending my love of teaching and mahjong! I would live to make learning Mahj easy for you and your friends!!

OMM certified instructor. I teach groups of 4, 8 or 12. Beginner or advanced lessons (rules, Charleston strategy, etc)using NMJL rules.

Rate: $50-$75 per person, depending on class size for a 3-hour class

We are Brandi and Sean of West Georgia Mahjong — experienced educators who believe strongly in brain-based learning and teaching strategies that support how people learn best. We have thoughtfully restructured and simplified the process of learning mahjong so it feels approachable, organized, and far less overwhelming for beginners. Our teaching approach breaks the game into meaningful, easy-to-understand steps that build confidence, improve retention, and help players experience success from the very beginning.

I have 15 years of playing experience and have taught for over 5 years

I started teaching to honor my mother who shared a love for the game. A passionate mahjong player with over 9 years of experience, I teach according to the NMJL rules and bring patience, guidance and understanding to my students through clear card reading, strategy, and game flow in a friendly, supportive learning environment.

Hi! I’m Dana and I teach American Mah Jongg according to NMJL rules, primarily in small group settings in a fun, interactive way. I teach at private venues in the eastern coastal GA and southern SC areas, as well as in my home or yours.

I work with The Select in Sandy Springs, where they host monthly Mahjongg events

Rate: $40 for Event (plus tax and gratuity)

Teaching beginners with private lessons and group lessons. Leading guided play and coordination of events in the Duluth, Johns Creek and Suwanee areas.

Rate: $50 per person for 2 1/2 hour lesson
