I am a retired teacher who replaced her love of crafting with a new obsession, Mah Jongg. I love helping new players learn the game in a fun, relaxed, and encouraging environment. Whether introducing the basics, explaining strategy, or guiding friendly group play, I focus on making Mah Jong easy to understand and enjoyable for everyone. My goal is to build confidence, connection, and a love for the game while creating a welcoming social experience for players of all skill levels.

I have been playing American Mahjong for almost four years now, and in that time I taught just about every friend, neighbor, and willing family member I could get to sit down with me. There is something that happens the moment someone who was nervous about learning wins their first hand, the way their whole face changes, and I became completely addicted to being the person who got to create that moment. After years of teaching informally, I finally decided to make it a real priority, because it genuinely fills my cup in a way I did not expect. I am a boy mama of two, a born hostess, and someone who takes the gathering just as seriously as the game. My goal has always been to make mahjong feel like the easiest "yes" you have ever said. No intimidating rules, no "you should already know this," and no classroom energy - just warm, beginner-friendly teaching that meets you exactly where you are. I teach women across the DFW area in person, from McKinney and Frisco to Plano, Allen, and beyond. And for those of you who are not local, I offer virtual sessions, guides, and courses too, so no matter where you are, you can learn to play, build your confidence, and find your table.
